1. Intended Use
The Lumivision Video Magnification System is a smartphone-based electronic magnification device intended to assist individuals with low vision in viewing and magnifying visual content. The system consists of a headset (Classic or Mini) used in combination with the LumivisionVR mobile application installed on a compatible smartphone.
The device is intended for personal, non-clinical use by individuals with low vision. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
2. Indications for Use
The Lumivision system is indicated for use by individuals who experience low vision and wish to magnify their surrounding environment, text, or objects for daily living activities including but not limited to:
Reading printed text, labels, or menus
Viewing objects at near, intermediate, or distance ranges
Participating in indoor and outdoor activities requiring visual assistance
The device may be recommended by low vision rehabilitation therapists or vision care professionals as part of a low vision rehabilitation plan.
3. Contraindications
Do not use the Lumivision system if any of the following apply:
You experience motion sickness, vertigo, or vestibular disorders that may be aggravated by viewing screens through lenses
You have been advised by a physician not to use screen-based visual devices
You are using the device while operating a motor vehicle, machinery, or in any situation where impaired vision could cause injury
4. Warnings and Precautions
⚠ WARNINGS — Read before use
Do not use while driving, cycling, or operating machinery.
Do not use in environments where tripping, falling, or collision hazards are present. The headset limits peripheral vision.
Discontinue use immediately if you experience headache, eye strain, nausea, or dizziness.
Do not use the device near open flames, water, or in extreme heat or cold.
Keep out of reach of children under age 13.
The included batteries (AAA) are a choking hazard. Keep away from small children.
PRECAUTIONS
Allow your eyes to adjust when transitioning between headset use and normal viewing.
Take regular breaks during extended use (recommended: 20 minutes on, 5 minutes off).
Ensure lenses are clean and free of debris before each use to avoid eye strain.
Most phones fit best without a case. Using a case may affect image alignment.
